UPDATE

Sunday, August 17th

Greetings Robert and Philip,

I unfortunately have some bad news.  I was in contact with the Think Earls Court Apartments and they advised me that the company is no longer taking reservations.  They have gone into receivership and closing their doors at all their locations.  What a pity!

I did some research in regards to your Iceland excurions and have found some that do not need to rent a car.  They look so awesome. This will be far less stressful and way more fun!!!  I found the most perfect restaurant for your visit - The Lobster House.  I hope you love seafood and authentic Icelandic fare.  I have also found some great hotels located in the downtown area close to the action.  The one I would suggest is the Center Hotel Thingholt, that just happens to be a 1 minute walk to the Lobster House.  How convenient.

Paris is still one of the most romantic places in the world and I would love for you to enjoy it.  I feel that a full day of running around will be exhausting for you and not to mention Philip. We literally ran through the Louvre and it took us over 2 hours just to see the few highlight they showcased.  Paris is a city you have to stop and breath in to appreciate its uniqueness and beauty. So this is what I propose.  You would stay at the Town Hall Hotel for 4 nights and check out.  I have spoken with the hotel and they are more than happy to allow you to leave your suitcases in their Baggage Storage area free of charge.  You would just pack an overnight bag for your trip to Paris.  Hop on the train and spend one night at Maison FL Hotel and enjoy the City of Lights.  On the Paris page there is information on one of the best restaurants in the world that is a 4 minute walk from the hotel.  What a dining experience that could be.  Head back on the train and check back in at the Town Hall Hotel for 3 nights. I think this would be the easiest and most relaxed way to see Paris.
